I can't seem to finish the OBF posts if my life depended on it. Instead, here's my week of beer (and sake) for August 6-12. I did a fair bit of drinking last week, including lunch visits to Rock Bottom (the American Dream IPA is still on tap) and Sake Nomi, a new-ish sake store and tasting bar in Seattle's Pioneer Square. I've been to Nomi three or four times since they opened last month and it's a great place. The sake menu at the tasting bar revolves weekly and includes three free tastes the minute you walk in the door. From there, you can order four-ounce pours of single sakes or order samplers of two-ounce pours. Everything I've tasted has been good to really good and I've walked out with a few bottles and a book on sake. Owners Johnnie and Taiko Stroud are incredibly nice people and I hope Seattleites do everything they can to help them succeed. This may be a beer blog (and I know little to nothing about sake), but look for some future posts on Sake Nomi and perhaps an interview with Johnnie and Taiko. - For the rest of the article please visit The Beer Retard's blog.
